The prices payable for subscriptions and back issues that you order are as set out on our website. All prices are inclusive of shipping, unless otherwise stated, and are correct at the time of entering information. We reserve the right to amend and update prices as we see fit.


All payments made via Renaissance Publishing are managed securely by our payment providers:

  • Card payments are processed by Stripe
  • Direct Debit and bank payments are processed by GoCardless

Your payment details are processed and stored securely by the payment providers named above. We do not process or store your card or bank account details.

When you make a payment you are confirming that you are either the card or account holder, orthat you have permission from the card or account holder to order from us. We will take payment upon receipt of your order from your credit or debit card or bank account in the case of direct debit or bank payment orders. We accept no liability if a delivery is delayed because you did not give us the correct payment or delivery details. We can refuse to process your order and/or suspend any further deliveries to you if it is not possible to obtain full payment for the goods.


All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. If the back issues you have ordered are not available from stock, we will contact you by email or phone (if you have provided us details). You will have the option either to replace the items with one that is available or cancel your order.

Your subscription

Print subscriptions to Jewish Renaissance start with the current issue, unless otherwise requested and agreed.

Gift subscriptions

You are responsible for giving us the correct name and address of the recipient. We will post gift subscriptions on the date requested provided this is 10 working days or more after we receive the order. If no date is given we will post the first issue within 10 days.

Delivery information

It’s your responsibility to inform us of changes in your contact details by the first day of the month that your next issue is due (January, April, July or October).

Our postal charges are included in all prices listed in our website, unless otherwise stated.

We cannot accept any liability for loss or damage to magazines once they have been delivered in accordance with your delivery instructions (unless this is caused by our negligence). We will post your magazine(s) within 10 working days from the day after we received your order. Further copies within your subscription period are posted directly from the printer, within the first 14 days of the month of that issue. If the copies you have subscribed for, or back issues you have ordered, do not arrive by the third week of this month please contact us and we will check the address details and replace without charge if the non-arrival was due to our negligence.


We reserve the right to withdraw a promotion at any time.

Recurring subscriptions

For annual recurring subscriptions via Stripe or GoCardless, we will take the first payment at the time of your order, and then at the same date every year thereafter.

The Direct Debit Guarantee for GoCardless payments

This guarantee is offered by all banks and building societies that accept instructions to pay Direct Debits.

If there are any changes to the amount, date or interval of your Direct Debit GoCardless will notify you 3 working days in advance of your account being debited or as otherwise agreed. If you request GoCardless to collect a payment, confirmation of the amount and date will be given to you at the time of the request.

If an error is made in the payment of your Direct Debit, by GoCardless or your bank or building society, you are entitled to a full and immediate refund of the amount paid from your bank or
building society – If you receive a refund you are not entitled to, you must pay it back when GoCardless asks you to.

You can cancel a Direct Debit at any time by simply contacting you bank or building society. Please also notify us.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

You can cancel your subscription at any time by contacting Renaissance Publishing. The subscription will run until the end of the prepaid period and will cease thereafter.

If we have made a mistake in charging you, we will refund you the amount via bank transfer or refund it back to your original payment card. It is your responsibility to give us your correct payment details and we are not liable if these have not been provided. Please allow up to 28 working days to receive refunds.

We will start subscriptions with the current issue unless otherwise advertised. We cannot accept cancellations for any digital items or purchase of single issue magazines.
